April 29, 2025 | Austin, TX — In a stunning revelation, Valentina Gomez, candidate for Texas House District 31, confirmed her campaign infiltrated the inner operations of CAIR-Texas during yesterday’s controversial “Texas Muslim Capitol Day.” What they uncovered is explosive: a professionally coordinated smear packet, written and distributed by the terror-tired Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), attacking Texas citizens, Christian advocacy groups, and conservative leaders, particularly targeting RAIR Foundation USA and its founder, Amy Mek.
CAIR’s Capitol Day event, already mired in controversy due to the organization’s documented ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, took a dark turn when the Gomez campaign exposed internal materials that viciously slandered American activists as “hate groups” for exposing CAIR’s dangerous influence in Texas politics.
Among those named was Amy Mek, a fearless investigative journalist and founder of RAIR Foundation. CAIR’s materials repeated tired smears ripped from discredited and debunked far-left hit pieces, aiming to paint her as “Islamophobic” for warning Texans about the ideological invasion occurring in their own backyard.
Ironically, CAIR—an organization with deep-rooted ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood—has no shame lending its name and credibility to left-wing, anti-American media outlets. They shamelessly recycle talking points from the same progressive attack dogs that routinely smear Christian conservatives, Israel defenders, and investigative journalists. Their smear packet echoed word-for-word distortions pulled from discredited platforms like HuffPost and Media Matters—demonstrating the Red-Green Axis in action: Islamic supremacists using Marxist propaganda networks to silence their enemies.
Despite years of coordinated defamation campaigns, Amy Mek has remained a powerful and unrelenting voice against Islamic extremism, unmasking CAIR’s political agenda and protecting American sovereignty.
See Amy Mek’s full speech here at the European Union from 2019, where she exposed the harassment, threats, and targeted defamation she and her loved ones have endured at the hands of terror-tied groups like Hamas-linked CAIR and their left-wing enablers.
But the rot goes deeper.
At the center of today’s smear campaign was Sameeha Rizvi, a radical leftist turned Islamic political operative, now working as the Community Engagement Organizer for CAIR-Texas. Rizvi’s rise is a textbook example of the Red-Green Axis: a dangerous alliance between Marxist revolutionaries and Islamic supremacists working together to dismantle Western society from within.
Formerly a leading voice for Queer and Trans activism at the University of Texas, Rizvi now advances CAIR’s Islamic agenda—an organization ideologically aligned with Sharia (Islamic law), which criminalizes homosexuality, bans abortion, and condones practices like forced marriage, child brides, honor killings, and female genital mutilation.
Her duplicity is breathtaking, but it’s less about deceit and more about a consistent allegiance to forces that undermine the United States and its values. Viewed this way, her actions are entirely coherent.
“Sameeha Rizvi is not just a hypocrite—she is a weaponized ideologue helping CAIR terrorize political opponents and silence Christians who dare to speak up,” said one senior member of a Texas Chrisian patriot group.
Rizvi helped organize CAIR’s latest pressure campaign that led to Christian women being bullied off the Texas Capitol steps, forcing the cancellation of a peaceful prayer rally. Now she’s the face of CAIR’s “community engagement.”
Among those targeted was Accountability Matters, a grassroots group of bold Christian mothers who have peacefully pushed back against CAIR’s radical agenda.
One of the group’s leaders—a Christian mom of eleven—helped author a powerful pledge, urging Texas lawmakers to reject lobbying efforts by organizations with documented ties to terrorism. She printed copies herself and planned to personally deliver them to representatives at the Capitol.
In CAIR’s Capitol smear packet, this mother was so lazily and carelessly misrepresented that they didn’t even bother to get her name right—slandering her under the incorrect name “Megan.” She now sets the record straight: Her name is Morgan, and she is a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, holds a Master’s in Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and will begin law school this fall.
Morgan is not just a mother of eleven. She is a highly educated, principled, and courageous woman who has dedicated herself to protecting Texas from the influence of terrorist-linked groups like CAIR. As an eighth-generation Texan whose great-grandfather died fighting for the Republic of Texas, Morgan is eligible for membership in the Daughters of the Republic of Texas—a living embodiment of the values and legacy CAIR is working to dismantle.
And still, CAIR attacked her.
Instead of engaging in civil discourse, CAIR responded with defamation and intimidation. Their Capitol Day packet branded these mothers as “dangerous extremists,” painting prayerful women defending the Constitution as extremists, while shielding a group with direct ties to Hamas.
CAIR didn’t just try to silence this mom—they tried to shame and erase her, hoping Texans would never know her name or her courage. But the smear campaign backfired. Her quiet, determined stand has now become a rallying cry for thousands of Texans waking up to what CAIR truly is: an anti-American ideological machine trying to crush dissent under the mask of civil rights.
The documents CAIR passed out at the Capitol—obtained and verified by Gomez’s campaign—attack Texas lawmakers who refuse to meet with CAIR operatives, label grassroots Christian women as “dangerous extremists,” and smear the RAIR Foundation as a “hate group.” They even cite the Islamophobia Network—a well-known propaganda outlet created to discredit patriotic Americans critical of Islam.
The so-called ‘Islamophobia Network’ is not an independent watchdog—it’s a CAIR-created blacklist designed to shame, silence, and digitally assassinate any voice that challenges Islamic supremacy, from Christian moms to national security experts. It’s not civil rights. It’s cancel culture with a Quranic justification.
CAIR’s Mask Is Off
Let us be clear: CAIR-Texas is not a civil rights group. It is a Muslim Brotherhood-linked propaganda outfit that uses the language of “justice” and “inclusion” to silence dissent, dominate public institutions, and push Islamic political goals. Today’s event proved that beyond a doubt. But Texans must understand—this isn’t new. CAIR has been under federal scrutiny for decades.
The Legal Case Against CAIR: A National Security Threat with Texas Roots
For decades, CAIR has operated under a cloud of suspicion, repeatedly linked to terrorism financing, Hamas operatives, and the Muslim Brotherhood’s subversive networks. In 2007, during the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history—the Holy Land Foundation case, held right here in Texas—CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator. Federal prosecutors identified CAIR as part of the Muslim Brotherhood’s covert Palestine Committee, established to support Hamas in the U.S.
According to FBI wiretaps and court filings, CAIR’s founders attended the secret 1993 “Philadelphia Meeting,” where operatives laid out a long-term plan to wage what they called “civilizational jihad”, a stealth campaign to subvert Western institutions from within.
One key exhibit in the trial, the “Explanatory Memorandum,” outlined this agenda in stark terms: “The Ikhwan [Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within…”
Among those directly linked to this network was Ghassan Elashi, a CAIR-Texas board member, who was later sentenced to 65 years for funneling money to Hamas.
The federal judge denied CAIR’s later request to have its name removed from the co-conspirator list, stating there was “ample evidence” of its involvement.
Even the United Arab Emirates, a Muslim-majority nation, officially designated CAIR as a terrorist organization in 2014, alongside ISIS and al-Qaeda. And in 2008, the FBI formally cut ties with CAIR nationwide due to its Hamas connections—a policy that remains in place to this day.
That severed relationship was vindicated in 2023, when CAIR’s Executive Director, Nihad Awad, publicly declared his support for Hamas’s October 7 massacre of Israeli civilians, telling a pro-Palestinian audience, “I was happy to see the people of Gaza break the siege.
His statement, delivered in the wake of mass rapes, murders, and child executions, made it unmistakably clear: CAIR’s leadership doesn’t just excuse terrorism—they celebrate it.
CAIR’s Defamatory Capitol Proclamation
CAIR’s 6-page Capitol packet was not about “bridge-building.” It was a coordinated lawfare and intimidation tool, meant to pressure Texas legislators, slander critics, and shut down investigations into their operations. Just weeks earlier, CAIR used the same smear tactics to weaponize a schoolyard fight in Houston—falsely framing it as an anti-Muslim attack and vilifying children, even after the school contradicted their narrative. Muslims across Texas amplified the claim and raised over $175,000 in what appears to be a coordinated propaganda campaign—another manufactured victimhood event used to demand special treatment and suppress criticism.
CAIR’s playbook is clear: gain access through backdoor political relationships, use civil rights rhetoric to shield themselves, and threaten legal retaliation against anyone who questions them. They manufacture victim status to manipulate lawmakers, silence critics, and deflect attention from their ideological agenda. They’ve turned lawfare into jihad by other means.
Yet despite CAIR’s enormous pressure campaign, Texans are fighting back.
Amy Mek continues to expose their agenda, grassroots groups are organizing across counties, and political candidates like Valentina Gomez are standing up and saying: Not in Texas.
CAIR’s Capitol Day is nothing more than a Hamas-linked lobbying event masquerading as civic engagement,” said Gomez in a statement. “No foreign-tied organization that bullies Christians, smears patriots, and undermines our laws should be allowed inside the Texas Capitol.
The Time for Silence Is Over
Texans must demand that CAIR be permanently banned from accessing the State Capitol. No foreign-linked organization with a documented history of terror ties should be allowed to smear patriots, intimidate Christians, or influence Texas law.
And now they have a vehicle to do it.
On April 29, 2025, State Rep. Jared Patterson introduced House Resolution 971—declaring CAIR officially unwelcome at the Texas Capitol. Backed by multiple Republican lawmakers, the resolution lays out CAIR’s terror ties, Hamas affiliations, and history of radical activity. This is the first formal state-level step toward cutting off access to terrorist-linked political operations.
Texans must flood the Capitol with calls and emails in support of HR 971. Let it be the beginning—not the end—of a new movement to permanently ban CAIR from all levels of Texas government.
The world is watching. It’s time for Texas to lead.
