The transcripts from Special Counsel Robert Hur’s deposition with President Joe Biden are fascinating, to say the least.Â
The interview with the president was conducted in October of last year and is just now being released for public consumption thanks to Congress publishing them ahead of Hur’s congressional testimony.
In the transcripts, it was revealed that First Lady Jill Biden had once offered her husband to put him through architecture and design school if he would get out of politics.
Biden made several more revelations that quickly made headlines, including references to “risque pictures” of his wife.
What did he say?
Reportedly, during several points in the interview, Biden referenced his would-be career in architecture, even referring to himself as a “frustrated architect” several times.
“In order to try to convince me not to run for the Senate for the 19th time, my wife said: ‘Look, you don’t run – I’ll pay for architectural school for you,'” Biden said.
Hur discussed with Biden where the classified documents might have been stored, which prompted the president to make a bizarre comment about his wife.
Biden claimed to Hur that he “was a frustrated architect…who went to Mongolia where he shot bows and arrows with a Sumo wrestler”…made “car noises, ‘vroom vroom'” when questioned…Jesse Waters provides excellent summation of today’s Hur hearinghttps://t.co/5rZkIPzmVJ

“I hope you didn’t find risque pictures of my wife in a bathing suit. Which you probably did. She’s beautiful. But all kidding aside, I have a library and the library has two filing cabinets in it and it was built into the walls,” the president said.
Newsweek noted:
Biden then appeared to struggle to remember the name for a fax machine. He said the library had “space for a copy machine, for a…what do you call it, when they send these…”
Social media reacts
Social media users had plenty to say regarding Biden’s interview, which was odd and sad, to say the least. Many believe he should have been prosecuted.
“So, is there a different standard for Joe Biden when it comes to handling classified information? Or is it only a crime when it’s convenient for certain political narratives?” one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, “Forget all of it EXCEPT he took these when he was a SENATOR! Right there is all you need to know! He didn’t just have these plunked in his lap…he had to get access to them and then TAKE them!”
Others pointed out that former President Donald Trump was prosecuted even with the power to declassify documents, implying that a double standard clearly exists.
