3/23 – Here are the top Facebook posts from DML throughout this past week:
Meaning of Life
I was asked yesterday on Facebook by a reader of my page, “What’s the meaning of life?” My answer is below. Share it if you agree, please.
My answer: “The meaning of life is to love and to be loved. For love is the essence of everything. Love powers the heart, without love our hearts are empty. An empty heart cannot survive.”
Btw… I love my supporters!
Pray and Prepare
The smart person, no matter the circumstance or timing, will always pray for the best and prepare for the worst. Apply this practice in all areas of your life: health, money, love, faith and family. Never be naive: Especially with the circumstances as they are today in America.
Peace and Quiet
You don’t need a vacation to find peace and quiet. Find a room, anywhere, close your eyes and breathe deep for 15 minutes. Feel the inhale and exhale. Think about your favorite things and what makes you happy. It’s cheaper than a vacation and you can do it every day of your life. And based on various research, it may help you live longer.
James Larkey
Today, a man James Larkey died of lung cancer. He was a truck driver, and a member of TeamDML.com.
A few years ago I needed a big package to be delivered before Thanksgiving. There was a mere 4 days to get it done. I couldn’t find anyone to do the job. I reached out to James even though he speaclized in short, local hauls.
James rearranged his schedule. He drove two days from the east coast to Nevada. He picked up my package. Then he drove two days from Nevada to South Florida and delivered my package on Wed afternoon. I was blown away! He then drove home to Missouri.
The truck he had was in horrific condition. I asked why he didn’t have a better truck to carry out his profession. He explained he was short on money, but had been saving for years. He couldn’t get to the finish line because something always came up — be it money to pay for brakes, muffler, etc. It was always one step forward, two steps back. In addition, gas was so expensive he couldn’t reach the dollar amount he needed to buy a used truck he found online. I asked how much money he was short. He responded, “$5,000.”
So, in addition to paying for his 4 day service, I donated $5,000 to his truck purchase. He was blown away!
I also took him to lunch to learn more about him. He had been dealt a few tough hands in life. Even so, he was a true American and a heck of a nice guy. The world lost a hard working man this week, TeamDML lost a great member, and I lost a friend. May God bless his soul.

DML’s father
My father, who served as a US MARINE, is on life support. He will likely pass today. I ask for your prayers.
