Presumptive Republican party nominee Donald J. Trump revealed his official stance on abortion and many weren’t happy, including Lindsey Graham.
On Monday morning, the former president released a video statement saying that he believes protecting the unborn is an issue best left to be decided by the states, a view that is consistent with the Supreme Court’s ruling overturning landmark Roe v. Wade in June 2022.

Trump wisely sees a national abortion ban that is favored by some to be a gift to the Democrats who are desperately trying to drag the carcass of Joe Biden across the finish line this November, a tough task that would be greatly aided if they’re allowed to make preserving abortion their rallying cry.
The South Carolina senator wasted little time jumping on Trump over his refusal to energize the opposition.
I respectfully disagree with President Trump’s statement that abortion is a states’ rights issue.
Dobbs does not require that conclusion legally and the pro-life movement has always been about the wellbeing of the unborn child – not geography. https://t.co/WloOJ0ImaW

“I respectfully disagree with President Trump’s statement that abortion is a states’ rights issue,” he wrote on X. “Dobbs does not require that conclusion legally and the pro-life movement has always been about the wellbeing of the unborn child – not geography.”
In September 2022, Graham came out of left field when he held a press conference to announce legislation on a national ban on abortions after 15 weeks, essentially pouring gasoline on the fire after the historic Supreme Court ruling months earlier.
How much damage the senator’s curiously timed bill may have caused to the GOP by galvanizing Democrats is uncertain, but there was a consensus that the midterms would be a “red wave” in which Republicans would have regained solid majorities in the House and Senate. It never happened and neither did any significant shift in policy regarding Ukraine.
There is no electoral support for a national abortion ban but it could serve to shave down the margin of votes between Trump and the widely disliked incumbent Joe Biden just enough to allow the Democrat-Deep State-media axis of evil to work their magic again by making another stolen election look plausible.
Graham is not exactly a social conservative or a man with what could legitimately be passed off as deeply held and sincere Christian beliefs – not with his fanatical bloodlust for war and longstanding questions about his sexuality – so it’s hard to swallow him being ardently pro-life enough to push a national abortion ban which is political suicide for his party.
But one thing that he does care about is war, war, and more war – especially when it comes to Ukraine – and a Biden win ensures that there will be no change in U.S. foreign policy toward Russia.
Fox News host Sean Hannity summed it up on Monday when he blasted the folly of an election-year national abortion ban as Graham appears to be advocating for.
“Any Republican that calls for a flat-out ban politically — politically, I’m talking politically now — that would be outright suicide,” he pointed out.
Trump didn’t take kindly to being undercut by Graham, issuing a scathing response via his Truth Social platform.
Senator Lindsey Graham is doing a great disservice to the Republican Party, and to our Country. At first he wanted no Abortions under any circumstances, then he was up to 6 weeks, where you’re allowed Abortion, now he’s up to 15 weeks, where you’re allowed Abortion, but what he…

“Senator Lindsey Graham is doing a great disservice to the Republican Party, and to our Country. At first, he wanted no Abortions under any circumstances, then he was up to 6 weeks, where you’re allowed Abortion, now he’s up to 15 weeks, where you’re allowed Abortion, but what he doesn’t understand, or perhaps he does, is the Radical Left Democrats, who are destroying our Country, will never approve anything that he or the Republicans want,” Trump wrote.
“They love this Issue, and they want to keep it going for as long as Republicans will allow them to do so. Terminating Roe v. Wade was, according to all Legal Scholars, a Great Event, but sometimes with Great Events come difficulties. Many Good Republicans lost Elections because of this Issue, and people like Lindsey Graham, that are unrelenting, are handing Democrats their dream of the House, Senate, and perhaps even the Presidency…,” he said.
The killing of the unborn is the central organizing principle of the modern Democrat party. Even more than anal sex and child genital mutilation and their fanaticism on the issue will, unfortunately, rope in more moderate women who will be propagandized nonstop by Democrats and the media.
Biden didn’t waste any time rolling out an emotionally charged ad, the first of many to come for the party of abortion.
This is a painful story that so many families around America now know too well: Amanda was denied the medical care she needed, and it nearly took her life.
More than 1 in 3 women in America now lives under an abortion ban, with more on the way.

While there are pro-life interests who have legitimate moral differences with Trump, Lindsey Graham isn’t one of them and his abortion advocacy looks suspiciously like sabotage.
John McCain’s little buddy has shown over and over again that he’s a snake in the grass and Trump needs to be very wary of him from this point forward because it’s pretty clear that he has ulterior motives.
