Robert F. Kennedy Jr. really got under the skin of the ladies on “The View” as they ripped into the Independent presidential candidate for potentially hurting President Joe Biden’s re-election chances.
Co-host Joy Behar blasted the nephew of President John F. Kennedy on Thursday’s show, labeling him a “clown” who could potentially swing the election in former President Donald Trump’s favor.
The issue had been prompted by a discussion of the No Labels organization in the wake of reports that its founding chair, Joe Lieberman, had passed away.
While Alyssa Farah Griffin warned that Kennedy’s candidacy should be “taken seriously,” Whoopi Goldberg and Sara Haines contended that Biden would not likely lose significant votes because of Kennedy’s run.
Behar interjected to call RFK Jr. an “antivaxxer” because of his stance on the COVID pandemic and vaccines.
“Some of his takes, RFK Jr., strangely line up almost more with Donald Trump’s and he’s kind of a personality figure that they like, and I don’t know. I feel like that’s going to potentially hurt Trump more,” Haines said.
Behar then unloaded on the former Democrat.
“Somebody has to ask him, why are you doing this? Why do you want to destroy the election and hand it to Trump if possible,” Behar demanded.
“I mean, he’s a Kennedy. His forefathers are rolling over in their graves with this. His own family is telling him to get out,” she added, referring to the fact that many of the Kennedy clan have spoken out against RFK Jr.’s bid for the White House.
“It’s not enough to wish the world were better, you must make the world better” @POTUS President Biden, you make the world better. Happy St. Patrick’s Day @vradenburg3 @Mkennedycuomo @vickikennedy2277 @amykennedy715 @pjk4brainhealt @roryekennedy @maxeykennedy pic.twitter.com/UZBcUjtEDh

“We already have one clown in the race. Do we need two of them?” Behar snarked as the audience applauded.
Sunny Hostin posited that historically, “third-party candidates are often spoilers.”
After more discussion, Goldberg directed Hostin to address a message that evidently came from the show’s producers.
“Oh, I have a legal note,” she said, telling viewers, “RFK Jr. denies that he is anti-vax.”
“What?” Behar reacted. “That’s his whole thing!”
