Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood director in Texas who now runs the only ministry in the country, And Then There Were None (ATTWN), dedicated to helping abortion workers quit their jobs and find life-affirming ones, is urging abortion workers to quit their jobs on Good Friday. ATTWN is urging abortion workers to quit during Exodus 2024, a campaign that has been held in 2013 and 2023. Last year, due to Exodus 2023, 15 abortion clinic workers quit their jobs.
“Abortion workers are so often unseen – they do grueling work and most go into the business because they wanted to help women but end up leaving because they realized they were doing the opposite,” said Abby Johnson. “These workers need to be seen. They need to be prayed for. They need to be supported so they can take that leap and leave their jobs.”
Many of the abortion workers who have left the industry suffer PTSD, have struggled with suicidal thoughts, and have battled some kind of substance abuse. We can help. We have helped more than 680 abortion workers leave their jobs and find healing.”

Exodus 2024 will take place on Good Friday, March 29, 2024. ATTWN will be working with Sidewalk Advocates for Life, through social media, and direct mailings into clinics to get the word out to abortion workers.
“These workers won’t be alone when they walk out of abortion clinics – they will join over 680 other abortion workers who did the exact same thing,” said Johnson. “No one grows up wanting to work in an abortion clinic. Our internal surveys of former abortion workers reveal that the majority of them, due to their jobs, have suffered from severe depression, suicidal thoughts, and substance abuse. My message to them is to get out and we can help you.”
ATTWN has an experienced resume writer on staff who will help former abortion workers to revamp their resumes and client managers will aid them in finding new jobs, obtaining counseling, and encouraging them to attend healing retreats – all for free.
“It’s not normal to work in an industry that takes innocent lives by the thousands every day or to see what these workers have seen. There are so many other better options for them and we can be that bridge to help them get out,” said Johnson. “The peace they experience and the flood of relief once they leave the clinics are palpable and absolutely in reach for anyone who chooses that path.”
ATTWN was founded by Johnson in 2012 and to date, is the only ministry that focuses on helping former abortion workers.
